Back to school already?

This week has been really busy, for someone on maternity leave my Mommy sure has worked a lot! I think the district technology department has adopted me as their official mascot. I've got them in the palm of my hand as long as I keep these eyelashes.

On Wednesday Daddy got to experience his first day as a stay at home Daddy. He did a really good job but was beat by the time Mommy got home. We did guy stuff, like going to Home Depot and fixing my rocking chair.

Today I got my pals, Tom and Quincy, and their parents together for a baby's day at the movies. We saw House Bunny; I enjoyed the colors and the girls but didn't get the jokes. Afterwards we all sat around outside enjoying the nice weather while the Mommies and Daddies ate bagels and gabbed about us boys.

Mommy says that Tuesday is going to be her last day spent at school until January when she is actually paid to be there. I hope this is true but I don't believe her. We need to enjoy our time together because it is going to fly by.

Hope everyone has a happy Labor Day!

Another Bath!

Mommy and Daddy gave me another bath today (well Daddy took pictures and Mommy bathed me). I really like the warm water, and I really don't like getting out of the tub. Daddy got a good picture of me enjoying the bath, check me out!

Road Trippin'

Yesterday we went to visit the town of Leavenworth, WA. The Shermans had never been to the other side of the mountains so Mommy and Daddy thought it would be a nice trip to show them more of Washington.

We ate lunch at a German restaurant and then toured the town while we snacked on pretzels and other German fare. It was a really sunny day but a bit too hot for me. Blane and I slept all the way to Leavenworth and most of the way home.

Today the mommies and the boys went to the movies. We saw WALL-E, a neat movie about robots. I didn't like this movie as much as Mamma Mia! but it sure was fun to see a movie with my pal Blane and my Aunt Wendi. Our new friend from class, Grayson, even came to watch the show today.

Tomorrow the Shermans are heading back to Texas; I sure will be sad to see them go but boy is our house going to be quiet!

Howdy Darlin'

Aunt Wendi, Uncle Shane and Cousin Blane came into town yesterday, they're from Texas so again I am having to learn some new lingo.

Today we went to the Seattle Aquarium; I wasn't all that impressed with the fish but Blane enjoyed seeing them and even got to pet a starfish. After the Aquarium we went to Ivar's to eat chowder and then to buy the Mommies and Daddies some cupcakes from Cupcake Royal. The boys needed a treat too so we went to the playground in Madison Park to play. Blane and I got to swing (I had to swing with Mommy) and while Blane climbed on the jungle gym and slide I got to lay in the grass under the shade of a really big tree.

Mamma Mia!

Today I took Mommy to the movies! We saw the movie Mamma Mia. The cinema in Bellevue has a special Thursday morning movie for little guys like me. Mommy and I had so much fun; I really behaved well and enjoyed watching all the lights and hearing the music. I didn't get any popcorn this trip but I was able to have lunch during the movie. Afterwards we went and met Daddy for lunch. Maybe Daddy will let Mommy and I go to the movies on a regular basis if I keep behaving myself.

Photos are Clickable

Daddy and I were talking about my blog and we realized that some of you may not know that you can click on any photo on this site to view a larger version of the photo. Once you click on it, you can even download it for your own printing purposes!

2 month checkup

Yesterday was my 2 month checkup visit to the doctor. Mommy and Daddy didn't tell me it also meant that I was going to be getting some vaccines.

First of all for those of you who are keeping track here are my new stats: I am now 23" tall and I am weighing in at 12lbs 9 oz and my head is 15 3/4 inches. I am basically in the 50% percentile compared to other kids my age. The doctor says I'm well on my way to being Daddy's height of 5'9".

Before they gave me the vaccines the doctor gave me a dose of Tylenol, it was a yummy grape flavor, I guess I should have suspected something bad was about to happen since they were giving me my first taste of sweet stuff. I was given the Rotavirus vaccine, the Hib vaccine, the Pnemococcal vaccine and a Pediarix vaccine. One was oral and the rest were by shot. I was not very happy afterwards but at least the nurse was fast and Mommy and Daddy were standing ready to comfort me when it was over.

I'm glad I don't have to go back there until October for my 4 month checkup.

My friend Quincy and Mommy and Daddy's anniversary

Today my friend Quincy (5.5 months) and his mom Stephanie came over to my house to hang out with me and Mommy. Quincy was trying to show me how to roll over but I think I need a bit more practice before I can do it on my own. The four of us went for a walk to Safeway for a Jamba Juice. Us guys went to sleep while the Mommies gabbed about baby stuff.

Yesterday was Mommy and Daddy's anniversary, they left me with G, Papa Boogs and Aunt Loren while they went out for a fancy dinner at the Metropolitan Grill in Seattle. Mommy said it was nice to not have to rush through a meal for a change.
