Jewell Christmas (Another First)

All I can say is no wonder people talk about gaining weight over Christmas, I thought it was a one day event but we're already on our 3rd "Christmas" with 2 more left to go!

Today Paw Paw and Kathy came over with Uncle Josh, Aunt Loren and Aunt Charlotte to celebrate Christmas. Mommmy made a nice dinner of Honey-Baked Ham and baked another apple pie (she says her secret is to talk on the phone while preparing the pie.)

We gave Paw Paw an iPod Nano, he seemed excited but had to be reminded how to use it a couple of times, good thing Kathy is up on technology she can help him out. Daddy preloaded it with songs so Paw Paw doesn't even have to learn how to use iTunes yet. I picked out a purple iPod since it is an LSU color, Geaux Tigers!

On to the more important items - what I got! I got a neat wheely bug ride on, it looks like a cow and I really like it's horns. I also got a cute bear in a red wagon that tells the night before Christmas story and some boring clothes. Well, they're overalls so they are cool, as far as boring clothes go. Kathy also gave me an Oregon bib - what is that about?! She knows we are first LSU fans and secondly WSU fans. I guess I can just use it to wipe up spitup. Haha!

Mommy and Daddy got a Blu-Ray player, Daddy was super excited. We watched Mommy's "Horton Hears a Who" movie yesterday. I really liked it. Daddy kept commenting on the picture, but Mommy and I just enjoyed the movie.

So 2 celebrations left to go. Wow this Christmas thing is pretty neat!

Wyatt's First (White) Christmas at Home

Santa Claus must have had Rudolph guiding his sleigh last night; we woke up to more snow! I was so excited to see what Santa brought me that I woke Grammy, Grandpa and Uncle Darren up extra early so they could see what I got (they like to sleep late).

I think that Santa may not be such a bad guy because he brought me lots of toys. I even got my own little laptop so I can be like Mommy and Daddy. I also got a fun wooden stacking toy, some more links to add to my jumper and a neat ball.

I must have been a good boy this year because I had so many presents that I had to do 3 rounds of them! I had to take naps in between gifts; unwrapping is hard work. From Grammy and Grandpa my big gift was a big boy carseat. I also got some nice ornaments, a stocking and some clothes. Uncle Darren gave me some money for my college fund and Mommy and Daddy gave me some more boring clothes. Even Cisco gave me a fun toy, even though he didn't get anything for Christmas this year (I guess I got all of the attention).

I watched everybody eat lots of yummy looking food and they just kept telling me that next year I'd be able to have some too, next year sure seems like a long time to wait for a cookie!

I sure hope everyone else had as good of a Christmas as I had and I hear that I have 3 more Christmases still to go! By the way I also got my first tooth for Christmas!

The Journey Home

Yesterday was a pretty stressful day for Mommy and Daddy; they were worried about the weather in Seattle and about if we were even going to be able to make it out of Dallas. We called Aunt Wendi and Uncle Shane so that if we got stuck in Dallas we could at least spend some time with them and have a place to stay away from the airport. Luckily when we got to Dallas Mommy and Daddy ran for our flight and we made it out.

When we landed in Seattle we were shocked at how much snow there was on the ground. We drove home and found our neighborhood was a winter wonderland. We have 8.5 inches of snow and more is expected tonight. Mommy told me that later we're going to make a snowman. I guess it is nice that my first Christmas is going to be a white one, Mommy told me she didn't have a first Christmas until she was 29 years old.

Wyatt's First Wyatt Family Christmas

Saturday was the big event! I was able to meet all the member of my Louisiana crew who couldn't make it to G and Papa Boogs' wedding. I think they were just as excited to see me as I was to see them. I felt like I had an instant bond with them because they like to eat and drink just as much as I do. (I don't think they were drinking formula)

I was a little disappointed that I slept through the Christmas carol singing since Mommy had me so excited about how we were going to sing Rudolph. I did wake up for the gift opening; that was really fun. I got some really fun books and clothes. A lot of them had a Louisiana theme to them, I guess like Mommy said I need to know my southern roots.

On Sunday we had more food and visited more with the family and then headed back to Baton Rouge to prepare for our trip back home on Monday.

Geaux Tigers!

Yesterday we flew into Mommy's hometown of Baton Rouge. Everyone was worried about the weather when we left Seattle but we got out before the snow storms hit. Thursday we spent the day touring around LSU and eating lots of cajun food. We had dinner with Aunt Peewee and Uncle Bubba and even saw Mike the Tiger.

On Friday Mommy had to prepare her menu items for the Wyatt family Christmas and then we went to visit my Great Grandma Jewell and my Great Aunt Penny. It was the first time I met them and I enjoyed our visit. They gave me a musical card with some Christmas money in it. I wasn't too interested in the money but the card tasted really good.
