June 7th, 2008 - The Big Day!

Mommy's birthday was Friday, June 6th. I knew she was born on 6/6/78, which is a cool date to have for a birthday.
On Friday afternoon, about 4:30pm, I realized that Saturday was 6/7/08, another really neat date. I like neat dates, and so does my family, so I decided that I needed to be born on Saturday. I quickly sabotaged my amniotic sac, breaking my mom's water. I knew that this gave me a pretty good chance of being born on my schedule (instead of my Mom's).

Lo and behold, my scheming paid off, I knew if could delay Mom's labor until after midnight, it was a virtual guarantee that I would get born on 6/7/08. Hah, I've already got her wrapped around my little finger (labor started at about 11:30pm).
After about 13 hours of trying to fight my way out, I entered the world at 12:49pm, weighing 8 pounds 1 ounce, and measured 20.5 inches long.

I'm tired now, I'll get Dad to post some of the pictures of the event.

Well Wyatt, you finally made it. We were wondering if you really wanted to come and met this family you were part of. You are a big handsome boy and all that hair, your great Uncle Boy will sure be jealous. Can wait to see and hold you when go the end of this month for the wedding. I am afraid you will out shine the bride and groom.
Love to you and see you soon,
Great Uncle Bubba & Aunt PeeWee

Wow, Wyatt you sure are a big handsome boy! You had me worried once I heard you were on your way into the world....I kept waiting and waiting for a phone call telling me you had arrived. Finally your G called. I was so happy to hear that you and your mamma were doing fine. Also tell Dad he took some great pictures. Can't wait to see you at the end of the month! Love, Aunt Josie

Welcome to the World, Wyatt. Your Aunt Shirley, Cousin Heather and I were just talking about you and your due date yesterday while running around town in Baton Rouge. How weird and wonderful that you were being born around the time you came to our minds.
See ya soon, Second Cousin Randi

Hey Little Man! I'm so happy to see you. I sure wish I could have been there to welcome you into the world, but I was getting the play-by-play from G the whole time. We're so excited you're here, and you're so timely. Now mom & dad can have their fun with you for a few weeks before I come visit & hog your attention. Love you! Aunt Tracy
